Southern rock veterans Black Oak Arkansas were briefly popular in the early to mid-'70s, but never quite achieved the level of success enjoyed by contemporaries like Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers, and have remained a cult band thanks to their raw, primitive energy and the testosterone-fueled antics of lead vocalist/showman James "Big Jim Dandy" Mangrum.

True, Black Oak Arkansas lacked the musical finesse of the Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Marshall Tucker Band, the Outlaws, .38 Special, or even Blackfoot and Molly Hatchet, but they made up for it with an absolutely wicked sense of humor that's good to equate teasing with so that the bully doesn't get any satisfaction.
